Why we accept Bitcoin
You don't need any crypto experience to use it. Here's what it changes for you as a customer.
Lower fees
Bitcoin payments skip most card-network and currency-conversion fees, especially useful if you're paying from outside the US.
Faster settlement
Payments confirm on the network directly, without waiting on a bank's processing schedule.
No card required
Useful if you'd rather not share card details, or don't have a US-issued card at all.
Buying Bitcoin, step by step
Most US customers can complete every step below on their phone in under twenty minutes. Already have Bitcoin in a wallet? Skip ahead — just paste our payment address at checkout.
Pick a licensed exchange
Choose a platform registered to operate in the US, such as Coinbase, Kraken, or Fidelity Crypto. Each is regulated as a money-services business and supports direct bank transfers.
Create an account and verify your identity
You'll enter your name, address, and Social Security number, then upload a photo ID. This is a legal requirement (called KYC) for every US exchange, not something specific to us — and it's normally a five-minute, one-time step.
Cash App and Coinbase both approve most IDs in under two minutesConnect a funding source
Link your bank account for the lowest fees, or use a debit card if you need the funds to arrive instantly. Bank transfers (ACH) typically cost under 1.5%; card purchases run higher.
Buy the exact amount you owe
Enter the dollar amount from your invoice or checkout page — you can purchase Bitcoin down to a fraction of a cent, so there's no minimum order to worry about.
Copy the payment address or scan the QR code
We'll show you a Bitcoin address and QR code at checkout. In your exchange app, choose "Send" or "Withdraw," paste the address, and confirm the amount.
Double-check the first and last few characters before sendingWait for confirmation
Your payment usually confirms within 10–30 minutes. You'll get an on-screen and email receipt from us once it clears.
Comparing exchanges
Any of these work well for a one-time payment. We don't earn anything from your choice.
| Exchange | Bank transfer fee | Typical verification time |
|---|---|---|
| Coinbase | ~1.5% | Minutes |
| Kraken | ~0.9% | Minutes to 1 day |
| Cash App | ~1.5–2% | Minutes |
| Fidelity Crypto | No added fee | Same day (existing Fidelity customers) |
In a hurry? Cash App and Coinbase both offer instant debit-card purchases — your first buy can be sitting in your account within a couple of minutes of signing up.
Keeping your payment safe
Bitcoin transfers can't be reversed once sent, so it's worth getting these right.
Only use the address shown at our checkout
We generate a new address for every order. Never reuse an address from an email, chat message, or an old invoice.
Send the full amount in one transfer
Partial payments can't be matched to your order automatically and will need manual review.
Watch for lookalike support contacts
We will never call, text, or DM you asking you to send Bitcoin. If someone claiming to be us does, it isn't us — please report it.
Questions customers ask us
Do I owe taxes on this?
Buying Bitcoin isn't a taxable event by itself. If its value changed between when you bought it and when you spent it, that difference may count as a capital gain or loss. Keep your purchase receipt, and check with a tax professional if you're unsure.
What if I send the wrong amount?
Contact our support team with your transaction ID. We can usually apply the correct amount to your order or refund the difference in Bitcoin.
Is there a minimum or maximum I can pay this way?
No minimum — Bitcoin divides into fractions far smaller than a cent. For payments over $10,000, some exchanges may ask for extra identity verification before releasing funds.
What if my payment doesn't confirm?
Network delays happen occasionally during busy periods. If your payment hasn't confirmed after an hour, reach out with your transaction ID and we'll look into it.
